Montessori Friends
We are ordinary people from different parts of the world who believe in science-based education and respect for children. Together, we offer scholarships of up to 60% for children between the ages of 6 and 9, attending Elementary School at EMBI Montessori School.
Why EMBI?
We believe in EMBI’s work to incorporate scientific knowledge into school education and, at the same time, be concerned with the social and human development of its students.
Furthermore, EMBI has no ties to large institutions, being a small social entrepreneurship company led by women mothers.
How can I become a Montessori Friend?
You can sponsor up to 20% of a child’s school fees. The amount invested by you is fully returned to the child, through the respective reduction in their school fees. Each Montessori Friend can sponsor one or more children, just as each child can be sponsored by one or more Montessori Friends.
The sponsor will have access to performance reports of the students they sponsor, as well as the school’s finances, providing transparency regarding the allocation of their investment.
Families benefiting from the project are selected through a careful socioeconomic examination.

How can I apply for the Montessori Friends scholarship?
To apply for the Montessori Friends scholarship , students must reside in Itajubá, since they must attend classes in person. The applicant’s guardian must correctly and fully complete our socioeconomic analysis form. Candidates may be disqualified if the form is incomplete or contains incorrect information.
Completed and completed forms will be reviewed by our team, who will contact you to schedule a social interview. Applications open every November and selections are valid for the following academic year.
